This article will explain how to use the Price Calculation setup configuration available for our Ship cloud solutions. For more general information on the Setup Configuration interface (Ship Self Service) and how to access it, click here.
If your carrier supports Price Calculation you can activate it yourself. Contact our Customer Service if you are unsure whether your carrier supports Price Calculation.
If your carrier does not support Price Calculation, you can set up Custom Price Calculation. This is usually configured by a technical consultant from nShift but this article will show you how to activate it if you already have the XML configuration file ready.
Go to:
Activating Standard Price Calculation
- Log into nShift Portal. Go to Ship > Configuration >Actors and Carriers.
- Navigate to the carrier where you want to activate Price Calculation. It is available on Product Group and Product. Choose Product Group if it should apply to multiple products.
- Click New Configuration and choose Price Calculation.
- Check the box next to Calculation active and make sure Standard (calculated by carrier if available) is selected.
- In the Standard section, fill in credentials if your carrier requires this. You also have the option to set discount indexes. The values show a percentage of the full price received from the carrier so if you want to add e.g. 10% to a price, just type in 110 and choose whether it should apply to the default, net (netto), or gross (brutto) price.
- Choose which price fields should be visible.
- Click Save.
Activating Custom Price Calculation
Before you activate Custom Price Calculation, you must have your XML specification file ready. If you need a consultant from nShift to create the file, please read more here.
- Go to Ship > Configuration > Actors/Carriers.
- Navigate to the carrier where you want to activate Price Calculation. It is available on Product Group and Product. Choose Product Group if it should apply to multiple products.
- Click New Configuration and choose Price Calculation.
- Check the box next to Calculation active and choose Custom (based on uploaded xml file).
- Click New and choose your XML file.
- Choose which price fields should be visible.
- Click Save.
Tip: You can always delete and upload a new XML file if you have changes to your configuration.
Using Mixed mode
Choose the Mixed (both standard and custom) if you are running both standard and custom price calculations at the same time.
