Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) or product ID

A Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is an alphanumeric code, usually 6 to 8 characters long, that identifies a product and helps you track inventory.

The use of these codes can make the difference when stores need to know when to reorder products and to set a gauge of which items move more quickly.
