A general introduction to Webshipper functionalities.
Webshipper is a multitude of integrations working together to make your shipping as effortless as possible. That does, however, lead to a bit of setup before everything is as desired.
Remember to contact sales first to make sure you have an account to create your setup.
1. Adding a carrier
It is important to note that Webshipper uses your shipping agreement, so you can use whichever carrier you see fit.
You can add them by navigating to Settings > Carriers > Create carrier > Select the carrier you want.
Here you will be presented with what information we need to integrate the carrier.
Fill these out and press 'Create Carrier'.
2. Adding your order channel
You can get started by navigating to Settings > Order channels > New order channel > Select the integration you want. Each shop integration is different so to set up your order channel correctly, please find it in the list of channels we have integrated with here.
3. Adding Shipping rates
Using the carrier integration, we set up earlier; we can create shipping rates in Webshipper.
Depending on the integration you are using, we can show these directly in the checkout. (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Magento2 etc.)
If not, they are used to map which label to request from your carrier.
This will be explained further in the in-depth guide.
For now, navigate to Settings > Order channels > Select your Order channel > Create a shipping rate. Click here to read more
4. Installing the printer client
Guide for Windows - Guide for Mac
This small program is what handles the automatic printing of labels and parcel slips, and allows for the use of scanners to complete orders.
Please note that the program needs to be running on a computer that has access to the printers needed.
You will still be able to create labels in a pdf format and print them, without this. It is purely to make printing faster and create a smoother flow.
5. Adding a credit card
While you can create test labels without a credit card, it has to be inserted to create live shipments.
So test away, and make sure everything works as you would like - but the labels will not be valid without a credit card.
This will be marked by the word "TEST" on the label.
You can add a credit card by pressing the orange bar at the top of the screen.
6. Troubleshooting
While we try to make everything as easily integrated as possible, problems can still occur.
If this happens, please grab a hold of our support here. We are happy to help.
