We're happy to introduce our new function, Customs Document Editor!
This feature will allow your account to edit the customs documents generated by Webshipper, whether it is Proforma, Commercial or Waybill Invoices.
1. Initial Setup
To get started, open up Settings on your Webshipper account and click Customs Document Templates.
Afterward, you can click New > Customs document template in the top right corner and will now be presented with three different options:
Select the type of Customs Document you wish to create and you will then be presented with the editor:
The left side will be the preview of the document and on the right side are the configurations.
2. Applying to shipping rates
Once the customs document is customized and saved, you can now select the template on shipping rates for use instead of generating documents with the carrier:
3. Important notes
It is possible to change all headers and titles of the document as well as address content, but the order line contents are static.
Any values contained in brackets {{ }} will be placeholder values, which dynamically fetch data from the shipment. If you wish to change or add additional placeholder values, please refer to our Placeholder guide.
