To help secure better pricing in carrier contracts, we use administrative consolidation. This approach allows multiple shipments to be grouped together when certain shipment details match.
Transsmart has developed a feature available for several carriers that automatically checks whether another shipment has been made to the same address on the same day. The system compares key shipment details such as:

• Receiver name
• Company name
• Address
• House number
• Postal/zip code
• City
• Country
• Service level

If these details match, the shipments can be consolidated administratively.
This method is especially useful for Transsmart customers when physically combining shipments during the picking or packing process is not feasible or too complex.
