Use case 1: 
Company X is based in Sweden, and they ship products to Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. They use carrier PostNord for all domestic parcels. For parcels to Germany and Denmark, they use PostNord for parcels up to 5 kg. For heavier parcels up to 20 kg, they use Dachser.

Follow these steps to set up this example in the Shipping Rules UI:

1. Go to Shipping Rules > File > Drafts and click the New button. 
   
   
    
2. Name your file and click Create.
    
3. Click the three-dot menu next to the new file and choose Edit.
    
4. Under Additional Options, check Use select rules and click Next.
   
   
    
5. Click New, select a product, and click Create. We use Postnord API > Sweden > PostNord Home in this example.
   
   
   
    
6. Add services if needed. In this example, we will add Delivery without POD.
    
7. Click the arrow next to the name to define the conditions. First, we will define the condition that says "Use PostNord for all domestic parcels". Select Receiver and Country, and enter SE in the country code field.
   
   
    
8. Next, we will define the Select Rule that says "Use PostNord for parcels to Denmark and Germany weighing 0-5 kg and Dachser for heavier parcels up to 20 kg". Click the New button to create a new rule. 
    
9. Select a product. In this example, we select PostNord API> Sweden > PostNord Service Point.
    
10. Click the arrow next to the name to define the conditions. Select Receiver and Country and enter DK, DE  in the country code field.
     
11. Click the three-dot menu and select New Subrule. This will define the product to use for parcels weighing up to 5 kg. Again, we are going to select PostNord API > Sweden> PostNord Service Point.
    
    
    
     
12. Add a condition and select Goodsline > Weight. Enter 0 in the Min field and 5 in the Max field, and choose the unit kg.
     
13. Click the three-dot menu at the level of receiver country DK, DE, and add another subrule. This will define the product to use for heavier parcels. In this example, we will use Dachser > European Logistics > Targoflex and select goodstype Box and service DAP-Delivered At Place.
     
14. Add a condition and select Goodsline > Weight. Enter 5 in the Min field and 20 in the Max field, and choose the unit kg.
     
15. Click the Save button at the top of the page.
     
16. Go to the General tab and locate your file under Drafts. Click the three-dot menu and choose Publish. The file is now active and will be used the next time you create a shipment.
