This article will go through the options inside the Settings tab in Ticket.
When you go to Portal > New Bookings > Settings, you will see a page with the following sections:
Printing options
The Printing options are only used together with Drop Zone when you want to make manual prints. Drop Zone is our application that enables file-drop integration and auto print with Ticket. (Read more about Drop Zone here).
The Service URL field will be set to localhost on the same port chosen in DropZone > Settings > Communicaton port for manual print. In the above example, Service URL is set to
http://127.0.0.1:8089. Port 8089 needs to be open, otherwise a connection between Drop Zone
and Ticket will not be established. If the connection is successful, you will see options in the Label Printer type drop-down menu that correspond to those added in Drop Zone.
You may change the printer top or left offset and configure whether you want Portrait or Landscape page orientation.
Production
The options in the Production section lets you configure how you want Ticket to behave, when you make shipments with new contacts or updated contacts.
Display units
This section allows you to configure the units you want displayed for weight, length and volume in your Ticket.
Dates
Configure which time zone should be used for the dates displayed in your Ticket. If nothing else is selected, the time zone of the server will be used.
Shipping rules
Shipping rules is a feature that allows customers to make rules to decide which carriers and products to use. Rules can be based on shipment attributes like receiving country, receiving postcode, weight, volume, price, and more. The rules are defined in an XML document which can be uploaded in the Shipping rules section.
