Once the app is installed, the setup flow provides step-by-step instructions directly within the app interface.

Step 1: Install the app
- Go to the Shopify App Store.
- Search for "nShift Checkout".
- Accept permissions and click Install.
Permissions needed
View personal data
- Customers: Name, email address, phone number, physical address, geolocation, IP address, browser and operating system

Store owner: Name, email address, phone number, physical address
View and edit store data
- View products: Products, collections

Edit orders: All order details for the last 60 days, shipping information
Step 2: Connect to nShift Checkout
After installation, you will immediately be directed to the nShift Portal, where you can select which Connection should be used.
- Open the app inside Shopify.
- You will immediately be directed to the nShift Portal login page.
- If you are already logged in to the nShift Portal, you will automatically be directed to the nShift Checkout UI.
- If you are not already logged in, enter your login credentials to access nShift Checkout.

Step 3: Select your Connection
After logging in, you need to select which Connection you want to use for your store.
- If you already have one or more Connections set up, select the one you want to use from the dropdown.
- Click Save to confirm.
The Connection is static, but from the Connections page in the top menu, you can change at any time which item the Connection is pointing to.
Don’t have anything set up in your nShift account yet?
If you don’t already have a Connection created, start by setting up a Sender and then a Configuration. Once the Configuration is saved, a Connection is automatically created.
To get started:
- Set up a Sender: Add a new sender
- Set up a Configuration: Create an nShift Checkout configuration
Important: When setting up a Configuration to be used with the Shopify app, select the template called “nShift Checkout for Shopify” to ensure the best compatibility with the Shopify app.
In Basic Settings, select the Shopify store’s default currency as well as any language(s) supported in your Shopify store.
