You must have at least one sender before you can set up an nShift Checkout configuration.
Follow these steps to add a new Sender:
- Go to Senders in the top menu and click New Sender.
- Select a member account. This is the account that the checkout configuration will be saved to. Only users with access to the selected member account will be able to view and edit the sender. Member account access is assigned by the account owner in nShift Portal.
- Fill out the address details.
- Choose a Book and Print system in the dropdown menu and add the requested details (see below for more details).
- Click Save.
View or update an existing Sender by clicking on it from the Senders overview page. Remember to click Save when you are done editing!
Connect to a Book and Print system
The Book and Print system is where the shipments will be created. Choose your system and add details as described below.
nShift Delivery: Enter an API key and API secret from the account in nShift Delivery where the shipments will be created. These can be found in nShift Delivery via Maintenance > API keys > Search > View. If you need to create a new API key find the instructions here: API keys
nShift Ship: Enter the actor ID, client ID, client secret, and endpoint of the Ship Actor where the shipments will be created. Read more in these articles: Find your Actor ID, Find your API key in Portal, and API configuration setup.
nShift Transmart: Enter the account number, user ID, and password of the Transmart account where the shipments will be created. Please contact our Customer Service if you need help to find these details.
Additional carrier credentials
For some carriers, it is required to enter your carrier credentials to allow for customer-specific validations. The validations could be e.g. route information, time estimates, and pick-up points.
Click on the Add carrier credentials button to expand a drop-down to view the carriers requiring specific credentials. The carrier-specific credentials must be obtained from the carrier. nShift does not have access to your carrier credentials.
If you want to use any of these carriers in the checkout configurations, please select the carrier in the drop-down and add the requested carrier credentials. The credentials needed for each carrier can differ, depending on the requirements of the carrier.
