Zebra has announced ending support for the GK420d printer from April 30, 2025. Drivers for newer printer models like the ZD series are NOT supported by the GK printer models. GK printers support drivers up to version 5. You can find working drivers for download at the bottom of this article.

Do not install version 10.x of the ZDesigner Windows printer drivers if you are using a GK420d printer as this will stop your printer from working!

Zebra printers are durable and often last well beyond the manufacturer's support period. However, if you are currently using the GK420d it is worth reviewing your operational needs and planning for the transition to newer technology to avoid disruptions. The replacement model for GK420d is the ZD421 model.
