Starting January 1, 2025, new postal regulations in Germany will introduce updated requirements for heavy parcels. Parcels weighing over 10 kg or 20 kg must be labelled appropriately to ensure compliance with these new laws.
All carriers will be impacted by these changes, and it is crucial to adhere to the updated labelling requirements to maintain reliable quality and meet all legal obligations.
To ensure compliance and occupational safety, carriers are required to provide accurate parcel weight information. If parcels exceed 10 kg or 20 kg, they must use the appropriate symbol to indicate the weight (see below).
Some carriers will adjust their terms and conditions and will make weight a mandatory field to comply with the legal requirements and it will no longer be possible to create shipments without weight.
Please be aware that nShift cannot be held responsible for any changes not communicated to us. If we do not receive notification from carriers by December 1, 2024, we cannot guarantee implementation by the January 1, 2025, deadline.
