PostNord is moving from file-based order integrations to the new Booking API. nShift Ship customers must switch to the API as PostNord will no longer support EDI shipments.
PostNord Sweden
Please be prepared for this change and contact nShift’s Support to get help updating your connection for Postnord Sweden.
From May 2024 onwards, the old Postnord Sweden integrations in nShift Ship (carrier id 37 and carrier id 455) will no longer be developed by nShift. No new services or updates will be added to these connections from that time onwards.
nShift Ship customers must migrate to the API solution before March 1st, 2026. After this date, PostNord Sweden will charge a fee for each shipment created via the old EDI solution.
PostNord Denmark
In September 2024, Postnord Denmark began migrating from file-based order handling to the Postnord Booking API. Cloud/API customers were updated automatically.
On-premises customers must click the convert pop-up message that appears in the software. The conversion is made as a step-by-step wizard and is easy to follow. See below for further instructions.
Some customers were granted an extension to use the EDI solution until March 31, 2025.
PostNord Denmark has set a final deadline of February 24th, 2026, for nShift Ship customers to switch to the API.
PostNord Finland
Starting in 2025, Finnish customers will also transition from the legacy solution to the new PostNord API. The migration will happen as soon as possible.
Using the conversion tool in Ship On-premises
Converting your PostNord DK carrier module in Ship On-premises is easy using the conversion tool. Before proceeding with the conversion, make sure your On-premises installation is up-to-date. (For help on how to update, see Update nShift On-premises server)
Follow these steps to use the conversion tool:
- Once your migration to the new module has been initiated, you will receive a pop-up message saying "Pending Carrier Convert". Click Open Convert Tool.
(If you have previously clicked Later, you can start the conversion manually by selecting Tools > Advanced > Convert products in the top menu).
- The tool will tell you which product conversions are pending. Select Postnord API and click Convert.
- Next, you will see a list of actors with the old PostNord module installed. You may have one or multiple actors. Click Convert All or select one actor and click Convert.
- The conversion will take a few moments. Once it is completed, you will see the following message (the number of products varies according to your setup). Click OK.
- The On-premises server and client must now be restarted. Click Yes to proceed.
- The new carrier module is now available under Setup, and you can start using it.
If you experience any problems with the conversion, please contact nShift Customer Service.
