It is possible to make a service default so it is always selected. This is useful if you always need the same service on a specific product. Since some carriers have restricted services that require a specific contract, Services must be enabled by nShift Customer Service.
Follow these steps to make a service default:
- Go to Setup and select the relevant product in the installation tree structure.
- Right-click in the right-hand side pane and select New > Services or double-click on the Services icon if it has been added previously.
- If you are adding the Services icon, you will now see the Password - Safe zone. Contact nShift Customer Service for help with the control code.
- Add a checkmark in the Default column next to the service you want to be selected as default. Please note that some services require additional information, e.g. email notification service requires an email address on the shipment, etc. You can also make the service ReadOnly so it can only be viewed but not changed, or you can remove the checkmark from Enabled to make it invisible in the Production view.
