The shipping industry is a changing environment where integrations and configurations can change over time. A carrier might be moving away from EDI solutions to pure API, the other way around or something else entirely.
Adapting to this in Webshipper should be easy and straight forward, in a way that saves your previously configured shipping rate rules.

1. Setting up the new carrier integration through 'Connect' menu
First step will be setting up the new carrier integration through the Connect menu in Webshipper.
Navigate to this by clicking Connect in the left hand menu and opening the Carriers tab.
Click Connect to carrier in the top right corner and fill out the appropriate information for the integration. This varies from carrier to carrier, so check our guide section to find a guide specifically for your new carrier: Carrier Setup Guides (opens in new tab)
After this you should have both the old and new carriers configured like this example for PostNord EDI and the new PostNord API integration:
2. Replacing carrier on existing shipping rates to preserve shipping rules
Replacing the carrier on existing shipping rates will allow you to keep any shipping zones, prices and other settings to save time.
Navigate to Connect > Order Channels > Shipping Rates and find the relevant shipping rates that need updating.
The fields to change are the Carrier and Service dropdowns.
Once the carrier field is changed to the new integration, the service field will populate with new services.
Select an appropriate/similar service:
Any previously configured service parameters and add-ons might be changed to accommodate the new integration, but notification, shipping rules/prices and return settings will remain the same.
