Delivery Checkout uses carrier’s APIs to calculate and return the estimated delivery time for each delivery option. The calculation is based on sending and receiving postal codes and the date and/or time of shipping.

Results of carrier ETA queries are utilized as functions in the Delivery Checkout configuration. This provides great versatility and means that you are free to place the result of the ETA calculation anywhere you see fit in your Delivery Checkout and in any format you find suitable.

Carrier ETA functions

• carrierEtaDay – Delivery day. For carriers offering a delivery interval, this will correspond to the latest day.
• carrierEtaDate – Delivery date. For carriers offering a delivery interval, this will correspond to the latest date.
• carrierEtaTime – Delivery time. For carriers offering a delivery interval, this will correspond to the latest time.
• carrierEtaDateTime – Delivery date and time. For carriers offering a delivery interval, this will correspond to the latest date and time.
• carrierEtaFromDay – Delivery day at earliest.
• carrierEtaToDay – Delivery day at latest.
• carrierEtaFromDate – Delivery date at earliest.
• carrierEtaToDate – Delivery date at the latest.
• carrierEtaFromDateTime – Delivery date and time at earliest.
• carrierEtaToDateTime – Delivery date and time at latest.
• carrierEtaFromTime – Delivery time at earliest.
• carrierEtaToTime – Delivery time at latest.
• carrierEtaInterval – Delivery time interval, in days (e.g. 1-3 days)

For functions related to days, an ETA including current or next day will return results as “today” and “tomorrow” respectively instead of the actual weekday.

The carrier ETA functions can be used in any field and/or context in the Delivery Checkout.
