The Theme Selection feature in Scan App lets you choose how the app follows light and dark mode - System, Light, or Dark - so you can personalize the look and feel of the app to match your environment and preferences.
Note: Theme Selection controls which mode the app uses. The colors, logo, and app name shown in each mode are set by your organization's Action Center admin - see Customizing Appearance in Action Center for how that's configured.
Available themes
System
Follows your device's light or dark setting automatically and switches with it. This is the default.Light
Bright and clear, perfect for well-lit environments and daytime use.Dark
A darker color scheme that's easy on the eyes and ideal for low-light conditions, helping reduce eye strain and saving battery life on OLED screens.
How to change theme
Go to Settings → Preferences → Theme and choose System, Light, or Dark.
Your selection is applied immediately throughout the app.
Related: branding and colours
The colors, logo, and app name you see are branded by your organization for each theme via Action Center > Settings > Appearance. If something looks unbranded or off, that's an Appearance setting to raise with your Action Center admin — not a Theme Selection issue.
