nShift Returns is moving to nShift Portal - one unified login for all your nShift products. This article explains what's changing, what to expect during the transition, and what you need to do.
What's changing
Previously, nShift Returns was accessed via its own login pages. Going forward, you will log in through nShift Portal:
- Staging: https://account.acc.nshiftportal.com/
- Production: https://www.nshiftportal.com/ui/home/
User management - creating users, setting permissions, and controlling access - is now handled in nShift Portal, rather than inside Returns.
What is NOT changing: Your markets, flows, and Returns configuration remain exactly as they are. This change is about where you log in and manage users, not how Returns works.
During the transition
Both your current Returns login and the new Portal login will remain active while we coordinate your migration. You will be informed before the current login URL is switched off.
Note: You will receive a separate communication with your specific migration date and any actions required from your side.
What to expect after migration
Logging in
Go to nShift Portal and log in with your Portal credentials. Returns will be accessible from the Portal navigation.
Your users
All existing users are migrated for you. Each user will receive an email invitation to activate their Portal account. The invitation link is valid for 72 hours - make sure your users activate their accounts promptly after receiving it.
Permissions
Users will have the same level of access as they had before — this is carried over as part of the migration.
However, nShift Portal also gives you the option to more granularly control access, including which markets a user can view and configure. See Managing nShift Returns Users in nShift Portal for a full overview.
If you were already using the nShift Returns admin
The change is minimal for you. The main difference is:
- You now log in via Portal instead of the Returns URL
- User management moves to Portal's User Management section
Your Returns configuration is unchanged.
If you were using the legacy Returns admin (Returnado)
For Returnado users, the change is more noticeable - you'll be working in a new interface and logging in from a new URL. Your Returns data and configuration are untouched, and you'll find your way around quickly.
FAQ
Q: Do I need to recreate my users? No. Users are migrated by the nShift Returns team. Your users will receive an invitation email to activate their Portal account.
Q: What happens to my markets and configuration? Nothing changes. Markets, flows, and all Returns configuration stay exactly as they are.
Q: Can I still use the old login URL during migration? Yes. Both login methods remain active during the transition period. You will be told in advance when the old URL is retired.
Q: What if my users don't activate their account within 72 hours? The invitation link expires. Your company admin can send a new invitation from the Users page in Portal.
