Managing users and access in nShift should be simple and scalable. As organizations grow, handling permissions user by user can become time-consuming and difficult to maintain.
To improve this, we are updating user management to provide a more structured and efficient way to control access. These changes also lay the foundation for future enhancements, including access groups and support for user provisioning through Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM).
This article explains what is changing and what it means for you.

Future changes
These changes are the first step in a broader initiative to improve user management in nShift.
Over time, these changes will introduce a more structured and efficient way of managing access through access groups, instead of assigning permissions individually to each user. This approach will make it easier to manage users at scale and will also lay the foundation for future support of SCIM (System for Cross‑domain Identity Management).
The transition to access groups will happen gradually. We will prioritize customers who are likely to benefit most from the new capabilities. For companies that do not frequently add or change users, the impact is expected to be limited.
Before your company is moved to access groups, we will inform you in advance and provide guidance on what to expect.
