Make sure you have added rates from nShift Checkout under Shipping and delivery settings in your Shopify admin.
- From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.
- In the Shipping section, click the shipping profile where you want to add app-calculated rates from nShift Checkout.
- Next to the shipping zone where you want to add the rate, click "Add rate".
- Select "Use carrier or app to calculate rates", and then choose nShift Checkout from the dropdown.
- Tick the box to “automatically show new shipping services” to customers when they become available.
- In the rare event nShift Checkout does not respond, make sure to have a backup rate added. Edit backup rate
- Remove all other rates, unless you want to have them displayed too.
- Click Save.
Currency Handling
When Shopify requests shipping rates from the nShift Checkout app, it always asks for prices in your store’s default currency. nShift Checkout returns prices in that currency, and Shopify then converts those prices into the correct currency for each Shopify Market based on the merchant’s Shopify currency conversion settings for the respective Market.
Because of this, we recommend that merchants configure all prices and rules in the nShift Checkout UI using the same currency as your Shopify store’s default currency.
This ensures that:
- Your prices match what Shopify expects
- Currency conversions happen consistently across all Markets, on Shopify’s side
If your Shopify store’s default currency changes in the future, you should update your nShift Checkout configuration to match.
