The Track & Trace tab in nShift Track allows you to create detailed reports on shipments, packages, statuses, returns, and more.
To access Track & Trace, log in to nShift Portal and navigate to Track > Track & Trace.
Overview of features:
Note: The features available in Track & Trace depend on your user profile and subscription. You may see all or only some of the modules described below.
Shipment
Use the Shipment feature to create reports at shipment level. This is useful when you want an overview of complete shipments and their progress.
Filtering options include:
- Date range
- Location
- Actor
- Carrier
- Product
- Status category
- Status
- Countries
You can customize your report layout by selecting the action wheel in the upper-right corner to choose which columns to display.
All reports can be exported to:
- Excel (.xlsx)
- CSV
For more details, see the guide Exporting report data from nShift Track to CSV or Excel.
Package
The Package feature lets you generate reports at the individual package level. This section is ideal when you need detailed tracking of specific parcels within a shipment.
You have the same filtering options as in the Shipment module:
- Date range
- Location
- Actor
- Carrier
- Product
- Status category
- Status
- Countries
Column configuration and export options function the same way as for Shipment reports.
Radar
Radar lets you monitor shipments based on their current delivery status, such as "Out for delivery", "Delayed", or affected by delivery exceptions. The report is a live, UI-based report focused on what is happening right now and is not intended for historical analysis or data export.
Important note: Radar is based on carrier tracking events. Shipments will not appear in a Radar report until the first status update has been received from the carrier. Newly printed shipments without any carrier status may not be visible immediately. To confirm a shipment was created, use the Shipment report or Dashboard.
- Radar can search status data up to 6 months old.
- Useful for proactive monitoring and operational follow-up.
-
Continuously updated as new carrier events are received.
Return
The Return feature displays reports containing only return shipments. Return shipments are shipments created with carrier services classified as return services, e.g. "Return pickup" This helps you track the flow and status of goods coming back from customers or partners.
Filtering options and export capabilities are similar to the Shipment and Package modules.
Recycle
Use the Recycle feature to create reports on recycle pallets. This is relevant for companies managing returnable packaging or pallet pools.
Not all carriers support recycle pallets.
Active Container
This feature is relevant if you use containers in Ship. You can create reports showing active containers and their content.
