Our Returns Analytics identifies products that require attention by analyzing their order and return patterns. To help you quickly understand which products have the biggest impact, we calculate a priority score for each product and display the top 10 products with the highest priority scores.
This scoring method helps you identify items with high return rates and high return counts, giving you a clearer view of which products may need quality checks, content updates, or supplier review.
What we measure
1. Return Rate
For each product, we look at:
- How many times the product was ordered
- How many of those orders were returned
We then calculate the return rate:
Return Rate = returned items ÷ ordered items
2. Priority Score
To help you focus on the products that matter most, each product receives a priority score.
The priority score highlights products that have both:
- a high return rate, and
- a high number of returns.
Calculation:
Priority Score = return rate × number of returns
3. Return Trend
We compare the product’s return rate from the last 30 days to the previous 30 days.
This shows whether returns are:
- Increasing (the product is being returned more often than before)
- Decreasing (the product is being returned less often)
- Unchanged (the return rate is stable)
