We have completely rewritten Scan App to align with modern mobile development standards, ensuring robust security, improved performance, and long-term maintainability. The new Scan App is built using up-to-date technologies to be fully compliant with modern platforms, reducing security risks and improving supportability. This upgrade allows us to deliver faster updates, better support, and a more stable experience for all users.

The first version, launched in November 2025, is an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and can be used if you require core scanning and event features. Please reach out to nShift Customer Service if you would like to try out the new Scan App.

 

Scan App is a mobile shipment scanner designed for drivers, carriers, and warehouse teams. It allows users to add status or delivery events to shipments created in any nShift Book & Print product. In addition to supplementing the main carrier’s tracking flow, Scan App enables shippers and local carriers to enrich shipment data with additional delivery milestones, including proof-of-delivery and recipient signatures.

 

We have launched a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) version of the new Scan App 2.0 to start gathering real-world feedback from our customers. While it does not yet include all the features of the old Scan App, it is available in the App Store so users can begin testing it. This early release allows us to learn what works, what needs improvement, and what features matter most, so we can build a better, more user-focused app as we continue development.
