The Return Order detail page in the nShift Returns admin interface allows you to manage individual return requests. You can view return information, communicate with customers, process refunds and take further action such as restocking items or rejecting returns.
This guide will walk you through the main features and functionalities of the Return Order detail page.
Navigating to the Return Order Detail page
- Log into your nShift Returns account.
- Click Admin in the top navigation bar.
- Click on the Returns tab.
- Click on a return request on the list to open its Return Order Detail page.
Page layout
The Return Order Detail page is divided into several sections for easy navigation and management:
1. Top Bar Actions
- Back: Return to the main Returns Overview page.
- Processed status: Displays the current status of the return (e.g., Processed, Pending).
- Download Shipping Label: Click this button to download a shipping label for the return. If no label is generated this button will show "Generated shipping label"

View Event Logs: Click this to see the event history of the return.

2. Internal Comment (left side)
- This section allows you to add a private comment that will only be visible to you and your colleagues.
- Use this field to record internal notes about the return.

3. Message to customer (left side)
- Here you can write a message that will be sent to the customer as part of the return status update email.
- Use this field to provide any important information regarding the return process or refund.

4. Return Details (center)
This section provides details about the returned item:
- Return Type: Indicates the type of return (e.g., Refund, Claim).
- Product Details: Displays the product name, SKU, item number, item price, and quantity.
- Return reason: Shows the reason provided by the customer for the return. You can edit this if needed.
- Condition: Describes the condition of the returned item (e.g., Tried tags OK). This field is editable.
- Batch number: Shows the batch number associated with the returned item. This is a custom field and depends on what you have configured on your widget.

User Images: Any images uploaded by the customer as part of the return request will be displayed here.

5. Customer Information (right side)
- Displays the customer's name, address, and email.
- You can click the Edit icon to update customer details if necessary.
- Analytics: Click this button to view analytics related to the customer's return history.
6. Summary (right Side)
- Return value: Displays the total value of the returned items.
- Return fee: Enter the return fee amount, if applicable.
- Return shipping see: Enter the shipping fee to be deducted from the refund.
- To Be Refunded: This field automatically calculates the total refund amount after fees are applied.

- The activity log shows a detailed history of the return process.
- Events include return registration, order registration, and shipment status updates.
- Tracking Number: Shows the parcel's tracking number, along with its current shipment status.
