Like many businesses, there are times during the year when it is important to implement a change freeze to ensure system stability and availability during critical periods. For nShift, this happens during the key retail weeks in Autumn.
This article provides information about nShift’s upcoming change freeze, outlining what to expect during this period.
Change freeze timeline
nShift will have a change freeze during the following dates:
Friday, November 20 – Wednesday, December 2, 2026
This change freeze will affect all nShift products.
Change freeze details
nShift will put this change freeze in place to help maintain the best possible service uptime, performance, and reliability during the important retail season starting November 21 and running through the ‘Black Week’ period, which includes Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
This change freeze will be implemented to limit code releases and system patches in the production environments and systems, helping us maintain a consistent quality of service for our customers and partners.
How we will support you during this time
Our support, engineering, and systems operations teams will be working on a high-availability basis throughout the freeze. This means we’ll be closely monitoring everything and providing out-of-hours support. If you have purchased this option as part of your subscription, you will have direct contact access during this period.
What do you need to do as a customer?
Your usual daily activities and communication with nShift will continue as normal. During this period, we won’t be able to make any code changes or releases. Any issues identified will be addressed in a future sprint once the freeze period is over.
Please note: Configuration changes that do not require a software release, such as Account and Checkout settings, will be handled as usual and are not affected by the freeze period.
