The new nShift Checkout is a complete rebuild of our current Delivery Checkout solution. It provides a simpler and more user-friendly interface. The new solution is future-proof and able to meet the growing demands of online retail and it works with all nShift book and print products.
Q: What does this mean to me as an existing Delivery Checkout customer?
A: In the short term, there is no rush to change as we will not be shutting down the existing Delivery Checkout solution any time soon. When you are ready to migrate to the new nShift Checkout we will work with you to schedule and support your migration to this new solution.
Q: What are the differences between the current Delivery Checkout and the new nShift Checkout?
A: The new nShift Checkout features a more intuitive user interface and also now allows A/B testing of different checkout delivery configurations to see which one increases basket conversion the best. The new centralized Rules Engine now features both basic and advanced rule configuration, making the setup of business rules even easier. With Enterprise+ scalability, the new nShift Checkout can now be accessed via nShift Portal from the global navigation button putting all your nShift subscriptions in one platform.
Q: Will it be difficult to migrate to the new nShift Checkout?
A: We have tried to make this as easy as possible for you. Existing customers will need to integrate with a new API and set up their business rules in the new checkout. The new user Rules Engine interface makes setting up business rules much easier as it is done in one central place. Read more here. In a lot of cases, you will be able to copy and paste your existing rules (conditions) into the new nShift Checkout – although we think this migration process will be an ideal time to review and create more up-to-date business rules.
Q: Will the pricing and/or packages change for the new Checkout?
A: The price will remain the same. There is, however, a change to the subscription packages AND it will apply to both legacy Delivery Checkout renewals and new nShift Checkout. The new packages will bring even more powerful functionality to customers. Essentials sees the addition PUDO maps, range and allows omnichannel retailers to add their own stores. The Professional package now includes the new A/B testing functionality (new nShift Checkout only).
Q: When will partners be able to implement the new nShift Checkout?
A: We will send out information to partners in June 2024. If you are a partner and want to be one of the first to get the new solution, please reach out to our partner team at partners@nshift.com to book an introduction meeting.
Q: Will nShift Checkout work with other products?
A: nShift Checkout is developed to work together with nShift Returns and our different Book and Print products as well as work agnostically with non nShift Book and Print solutions. With the new scalability, we also have customers talking to us about using Checkout’s capabilities in the Product Description Page (PDP) further up in the purchasing journey to encourage even higher basket conversion.
Q: Who do I contact if I have more questions?
A: Please reach out to our Sales team here if you want to learn more about the new Checkout. If you are an existing customer looking to migrate from Delivery Checkout to nShift Checkout, please contact our Customer Support here.
