nShift and Cover Genius have partnered, making it possible for you to insure your shipments. If you activate the nShift Insurance option on your account you can insure your shipments during the shipment booking process. The shipment is insured as soon as the label is printed. If an accident occurs you can make your claim directly from nShift Delivery. If you've added the insurance option to your shipment, you will receive a separate invoice from nShift for the insurance fee.

Activate nShift insurance

1. Go to Maintenance > My account.
   
   
2. Click Settings.
   
   
3. In the nShift insurance settings section, click Change.
   
   
4. Check the Enabled box.
   
   
5. Enter Company name, Country and Email. Make sure to read the disclaimer before proceeding.
   
   
   
   
6. Click Finish.

nShift Insurance - Standard printing

1. Go to Shipments > Standard printing and enter your shipment details.
   
   
2. In the Options section, check the nShift Insurance box.
   
   
3. Enter an insurance Amount. The amount must be in EUR (€).
   
   
4. Click Calculate premium. The premium amount is calculated and displayed in the Premium field.
   
   
   
   
5. Enter parcel details, if relevant for the service.
   
   
6. Click Print or Print PDF to print immediately, or Store for later printing.

Important: If you print a shipment and then discard it in Delivery the insurance isn't cancelled. Go to your Cover Genius account and cancel it in their system to avoid being charged.

nShift Insurance - Printing favorites

Create a printing favorite

1. Go to Maintenance > Printing favorites.
   
   
2. Click New Printing favorite or Search followed by the Edit icon to the left of an existing printing favorite.
   
   
3. For a new printing favorite, enter details as instructed for printing favorites.
   
   
4. For both new and existing printing favorites, go to the Service and addons section and click Change.
   
   
5. In the Options section, check the nShift Insurance box. You can specify whether the information should be hidden, locked or selectable.
   
   
6. Enter an insurance Amount. You can choose to hide and/or lock the amount.
   
   
   
   
7. Click OK and Finish to save the printing favorite.

When using the printing favorite the insurance amount will be pre-filled in the Options section.

Make your claim

1. Go to History > Shipments. 
   
   
2. Use the search function to search for shipments.
   
   
3. Click the view icon next to the shipment row.
   
   
4. Click Details under nShift Insurance in the Addons - details section.
   
   
   
   
5. Click the Claims link that will take you to the insurance company's claim page where you can make your claim.
